From the 1st of October till the 1st of April (and maybe more) we enrich the experience of staying in our guesthouse by serving breakfast to those who ask it!
Our breakfast is inspired by the philosophy of "Greek breakfast". Bread, nuts, olive oil, olives, yogurt, honey, jam, traditional cheeses and cold cuts, fresh vegetables, pies, pastries, fresh fruits! What we use is local from Donoussa and from Cyclades in general and from good friends in Greece who produce excellent food worth tasting. All our fruits and vegetables are strictly seasonal and organic, and all the products we use we try as much as possible to buy them directly from their producers. We also cook our homemade stuff (jams, pies, cakes for sure) and give a little exotic essence when we feel it! September is a great month to visit Donoussa!
The main reason is our two traditional festivals. The first at the 13th of September (holly cross day) at the port of the island and the second the 17th of September (Saint Sofia day) at the spring of Mersini village. In both there is great live music from local musicians and free food for everyone. For details here. With great pleasure we participate in the organization of the " European Music Day 2016" in Donoussa . From 19 to 22 June cultural events for children and adults with a focus on music in various parts of the island. For the programm and other details tune here!
We support the "Open Land Project".
